Weather On the inca trail
Expected Weather in Cusco and on the Inca trail.

In Cusco the weather is really amazing dry season starts in April to October, the days are usually sunny and hot but temperatures drop abruptly after 5-6 pm until 7-8 am. Weather is very changeable from November to March and heavy rains are expected being the wettest month December to March although is not as cold as it is in the dry season.

The Inca Trail 4 days and 3 nights

short description of the inca trail 4 days

No more than 500 people per day are allowed to start the Inca Trail trek . This number includes all support staff (porters, cooks and guides) and is very tightly controlled. Once this limit of 500 people is reached, the Trail is effectively closed off for the day and no further bookings can be made. Reservations are not held on the Trail and all permits to trek must be bought as far as possible in advance with complete and correct passport information, to which no modifications can be made. Any attempts at modifications result in a loss of the permit and any money paid.

Day 1: We leave Cusco early in the morning by train to Km 104 where the trek starts. Upon arrival we visit the ruin of Chachabamba in 2250 m.a.s.l. Then we begin our walk towards Wiñay Wayna. We stop to make a visit of this interesting and important Inca site. After a few minutes walking we stop for lunch. In the afternoon we walk the last hours towards Machu Picchu that we see on a distance from the Inti Punku (Gate of the Sun) in the beautiful afternoon sun before continuing down to Aguas Calientes. We spend the night in a nice hostal in town.

Day 2: After breakfast we'll arrive at Machu Picchu ruins (2400 m). Guided tour of the ruins for approximately 3 hours followed by some time at leisure for lunch. In the afternoon, we take the train back to Cusco, upon arrival transfer to your Hotel. End of services.

-Visit to the Hot Springs in Aguas Calientes (entrance fee is US$ 1,50, towels and swimsuits can be rented in Aguas Calientes.

*Sleeping bag $20 for all trek.
*Carriers of an ISIC Card pay $ 30 less.

An extra porter to carry your personal items: US$ 75.00 / 4 days;
*An extra hotel night in Aguas Calientes can be booked for those who want to stay an extra day. Prices vary from $ 25 till $ 150. If you wish to go back to the ruins the following day, you will have to pay your entrance fee again (the first one was included in the Inca Trail Excursion). Sleeping bag or backpack for rent.
